A note from our founder

Our goal at the Pledge is to drive $1.4 trillion of wealth generation by Black entrepreneurs, and increase Black business representation to 14.6 percent, by 2030. And we are well on our way. Five years in, with the help of more than 35 partners, we have built a pipeline to shift almost $14 billion of revenue to Black-owned businesses; helped place more than 900 Black brands on the shelves of national retailers, proving that people support businesses that are inclusive and diverse; convened almost 10,000 Black brands in our Business Equity Community; received almost 2,000 applications for grants and programs; and disbursed $1.2 million in grants to small businesses.

We are so proud to celebrate five years of hard work to lift up Black entrepreneurs and shift corporate behavior. We founded this organization with the belief that we all have a role in shaping the future we want to see—one where equity, innovation, and economic opportunity are the norm, not the exception—and that vision is more clear today than ever before.

Thank you for your partnership and lasting support, and please stick with us on this journey toward closing the racial wealth gap once and for all.
